MPhil in Fracture Mechanics (Master of Philosophy in Fracture Mechanics)

M.Phil (Fracture Mechanics) is a postgraduate academic research degree course. Fracture mechanics provides a strong tool for characterizing failure of both monolithic materials and bonded systems. The main purpose of this course to provide candidates with an introduction to the mechanics of fracture of brittle and ductile materials. During the study time candidates introduce to the mechanics of fracture of brittle and ductile materials. Fracture Mechanics is a critical subject of science that provide a powerful tool for characterizing failure of both monolithic materials and bonded systems. The master program made up a powerful foundation for applicant in the field, so as to train them for higher qualification in the field. The research degree course provide skill as derive fracture mechanics theories and evaluate the results and perform fracture and notch mechanical analysis and solve problems of engineering interests. Master of Philosophy in Fracture Mechanics course take around two year and its syllabus is divide in four semesters of six month each. In some universities after completing M.Phil candidates do not have to appear in Entrance Exam. It provide on part time basis by various college and university. After successful completion in this course candidates have various job opportunities in many fields.
