MPhil in Gas Dynamics (Master of Philosophy in Gas Dynamics)
M.Phil (Gas Dynamics) is a Postgraduate Academic Research Degree course. The full degree course consists of two year and its syllabus is divide in four semesters of six month each. The program introduce to candidates compressible flow and its constitutive equations. The main goal of this course is prepare candidates for engineering analysis and design of high-speed flow systems, by providing a foundation in compressible fluid mechanics and introducing techniques for treatment of practical. The doctoral program involving general concepts, small perturbation theory for linearized flows, and method of characteristics for nonlinear flows. The course involves various topics such as Governing equations for compressible flow, Steady one-dimensional compressible flow, Flow with friction, Flow with heat transfer, Shock waves, Expansion waves, Flow with small perturbations and Fundamental principles of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. It provide on part time basis by various college and university in India.
Eligibility:
- To seek after M.Phil., one needs to have a Master's degree in Gas Dynamics. Up-and-comers need to gain 55% stamps in the subject picked for M.Phil. course or an associated subject at the postgraduate level to be viewed as qualified for the course. The rate Norm may fluctuate from Institute to Institute.
