MPhil in Operational Research (Master of Philosophy in Operational Research)

M.Phil (Operational Research) is a postgraduate academic research degree course. The research degree course has been to equip applicant with concepts & paradigms of engineering and service systems. The master degree course offers a strong foundation of the various mathematical & computational models for decision making. M.Phil Operational Research program centered on advancing knowledge and research in areas such as mathematical optimization; design and analysis of algorithms; stochastic and probabilistic methods; statistical modeling and analysis; and computational and numerical methods. The duration of this course is generally 2 year and its syllabus is divide in 4 semesters of six moth each. In some universities after completing M.Phil candidates do not have to appear in Entrance Exam.
