MPhil in Structural Engineering (Master of Philosophy in Structural Engineering)
M.Phil (Structural Engineering) is a postgraduate academic research degree course. The program related to the analysis and design of structures. The course will provide candidates an overview of the types of construction materials used in aircraft design and why they are chosen. In the course candidates learn about the load calculations required and gain an understanding of the forces that impact an aircraft. The main purpose of this academic course is to impart advanced learning to eligible candidates in fundamental principles of Structural Analysis. In which candidates are trained to implement such principles through different methods, in analyses of various types of structures, and to evaluate force and displacement parameters of such structures. The research degree course involves developing expertise in onshore infrastructure and sound background in specialized areas such as Offshore Structure/ Management (General)/ Bridge Structure/ Hydraulic Structure. The course involves various specialized fields nanomechanics, biomechanics, concrete technology, constructions of concrete, steal and light metals, wood, impact and energy abroption, fatigue and rupture mechanics and computational mechanics. It will teach candidates how to look at and design a solution for a structural construction engineering design problem.
