Environmental science is an interdisciplinary field that combines the natural and social sciences to study the environment. Environmental scientists can help identify the causes and effects of environmental degradation and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Sustainable development is a development approach that seeks to balance economic growth, social well-being, and environmental protection. Sustainable development can help promote more sustainable patterns of consumption and production.

Globalization has led to the spread of Western culture and values around the world. This has led to concerns about cultural homogenization and the loss of cultural diversity. Some interdisciplinary responses to this challenge include:

Cultural studies is an interdisciplinary field that combines the humanities and social sciences to study culture. Cultural studies can help identify the causes and effects of cultural homogenization and develop strategies to promote cultural diversity.

The entire procedure for admission to the research programs encompasses a Research Entrance Exam (RET) and then an Interview/Viva Voce. The performance of a candidate in the RET is given 70% weightage, and the remaining 30% weightage is given to his/her performance at the Interview.
