ONLINE PhD IN DAIRY EXTENSION

The candidate must have completed a bachelor’s
degree or higher to be eligible to the application. To qualify for the course, students
must have at least 90 semester hours of graduate credit in Agricultural &
Extension Education. The requirement includes 30-36 graduate hours in
Agricultural & Applied Statistics, 16 credits in Research, & 12 to 18
credits in the minor area. Upon
graduation, the candidate must complete comprehensive examinations & a thesis
or dissertation.

dissertation in fields. The PhD course requires the student to conduct research in
an area of expertise, such as reproductive biology, nutrition, or immunology.

The Department of Dairy Science at Michigan
State University offers a PhD in Animal Science. The course focuses on the genetics,
reproduction, nutrition, & immunology of dairy cattle. The doctorate certificate
takes 3 to 4 years to complete. Graduates of this certificate are prepared for
research & consulting careers in the dairy industry. A PhD in Animal
Sciences is the highest degree a graduate can earn.

PhD in Dairy Extension Eligibility

Students who want to take admission in PhD must
have a post-graduate degree in Dairy Extension & its relevant discipline
with at least 55% marks from a recognized university and must have passed the
national level entrance examination or university level entrance examination.
National-level entrance exams like UGC NET / UGC CSIR NET / GATE / SLET or
University entrance exams consist of written tests and personal interviews.

Admission process

Admission to the PhD course shall be based
on the candidate marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective
department or school of a particular university or institute. That applicant who
have completed GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subject of the
apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from Entrance Test.
While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the university may
consider research work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the candidate. If an
applicant already holds a Doctors degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved
University or Institute, he/she may be exempted from the entrance exam & pre PhD
coursework. After clearing both steps the applicant will be eligible to pay the program fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of students may
be admitted to PhD programmer.
