Phd in Drawing and Painting is a doctoral-level Program.
The study is most suitable for those students who have skills & good
knowledge of drawing & painting. After its successful completion student
may apply for post of Muralist, Graphic Designer, Creative Director, Comic
Artist, Design Director & Comic Book Artist, Arts Administrator, Visiting
Artist, Art Director, Animation Programmer, Art Restoration Specialist &Commercial
Artist. The aim of this program is to prepare candidates in drawing &
painting skills through advance study & knowledge of common topics such as
history of art, creative design, still life painting, elements of painting,
Indian folk’s art, elements of painting, Indian folk’s art, Primitive art with
reference to the Indian Painting, Buddhist art, medieval art, Rajasthan style
art, philosophy of art, current art in Indian painting &colour painting.
The course offer a study to design drawings & illustrations which exhibit
expanded skills in observation, subjective expression, understanding of
pictorial composition, & relevant historical influences upon drawing as a
method of the visual communication.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Ad mission to the Ph.D. course shall be based on the
candidate marks obtained in entrance test conducted by respective department or
school of particular university or institute. Those applicant who have complete
GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil/JRF Examination in pertinent subject of the apex bodies as
CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be exempted from Entrance Test. While giving the
exemption, Departmental Committee of the university may consider research
work/earlier Ph.D./experience done by the candidate. If a applicant already
holds a Doctors degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved University
or Institute, he/she may be exempted from entrance exam & pre Ph.D. course
work. After clearing both steps the applicant will be eligible to pay program
fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of students may be
admitted to Ph.D. programmer.

  head of the university from which the candidate has obtained his qualifying
  certificate.

  birth
• Gap certificate (if applicable)
• Research Proposal *
• No objection certificate from the employer (if employed)
